Privacy Policy

• Account email — used to sign you in with a magic link (or your Google account email, if you use Google sign-in).
• Profile info — the handle, display name, and any bio or photo you choose to add.
• Festival activity— the festivals you’re attending, artists you select to your lineup, and event check-ins.
• Crews — crews you create or join, and your membership in them.
• Badges & quest progress— which quests you’ve completed and badges you’ve earned.
• Push notification endpoints — only if you turn push notifications on. This is the browser/device delivery address needed to send you a notification, not your location or device identity beyond that.

• No date of birth or other precise identity data — we only require you to confirm you’re 18+.
• No advertising trackers, ad IDs, or ad networks. We don’t run ads.
• No cross-site tracking — we don’t follow you around the web or share data with data brokers.
• No third-party cookies. Our analytics (below) doesn’t use cookies at all.

We use a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool (Umami) to see aggregate things like which pages get visited and roughly how many people use the app. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t build a profile of you, and can’t identify you personally. Because it’s cookieless and doesn’t track you across sites, it doesn’t require a cookie-consent banner.

To run the app: sign you in, show your profile and passport, power crews and quests, send push notifications you’ve opted into, and let us fix bugs when something breaks. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with third parties except the infrastructure providers that host the app (e.g. our database and hosting provider), who only process it to keep the service running.

We keep your data while your account is active. If you stop using Wub Crew we may still hold it — we’re alpha-stage and don’t yet have automatic account expiry — but you can request deletion at any time (next section).

During this alpha, account and data deletion is handled manually: email info@wewubyou.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll remove your account, profile, crew memberships, quest/badge progress, and any push subscription on file. Content you posted into a shared space (like a crew) may remain visible to that crew unless you ask us to remove it specifically, since it was shared with other people.

Wub Crew is for adults 18 and older (see our Terms). We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

If this changes materially, we’ll update the effective date above. Given this is alpha software, expect this page to evolve as the product does.
