Terms of Use

Wub Crew is a companion app for electronic music festivals: you track the festivals you’re attending, build a lineup of artists you care about, join or form crews with friends, check in at events, complete optional quests, and collect badges. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any festival, promoter, or venue unless we say so explicitly.

Wub Crew is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use this app.

By signing up you’re confirming you meet that requirement. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn an account belongs to someone under 18 we’ll close it and delete the associated data.

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, or with Google sign-in. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email and Google account secure — anyone with access to those can sign in as you. Tell us at info@wewubyou.com if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

One account per person. Handles and profile fields should represent you, not impersonate someone else or a festival, artist, or brand.

Don’t use Wub Crew to:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate another person, crew, festival, or artist.
• Post content that is illegal, hateful, or that promotes violence.
• Scrape, crawl, mirror, or bulk-extract data from the app (accounts, festival data, profiles, or anything else) outside of your own account’s normal use.
• Attempt to break, probe, or bypass authentication, rate limits, or other technical protections.
• Sell, resell, or automate access to accounts, badges, or quest completions.

We can suspend or close accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, especially where it protects other users or the service itself.

Anything you post — profile info, crew names and descriptions, check-in notes, photos if we add them later — stays yours. By posting it, you give Wub Crew a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute it within the app so the features you’re using (profiles, crews, feeds, badges) can work. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with other users (e.g. a crew you posted to) or kept briefly in backups.

You’re responsible for what you post. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share, including other people’s photos, likeness, or private information without their consent.

Quests are optional in-app challenges (like “check in at three stages” or “find a specific art installation”). They are entertainment features, not instructions to break rules, enter restricted areas, or take risks.

• Never enter backstage, staff-only, closed, or otherwise restricted areas to complete a quest or earn a badge, even if a quest description references a location.
• Festival rules and staff instructions always override anything in the app. If a quest conflicts with a rule, a barrier, a closure, or a staff member’s direction, follow the festival — not the app.
• Obey all local laws at every event, no exceptions.
• Completing quests, earning badges, and using the app generally is entirely at your own risk. Wub Crew is not responsible for injury, loss, theft, or any other harm that happens while you’re attending an event or attempting a quest.

We don’t control festival grounds, security, medical services, weather, artist lineups, or anything that happens at an event. Attending a festival carries inherent risk (crowds, heat, sound levels, travel) that exists whether or not you use Wub Crew. See our Safety page for where to find real safety resources.

If you believe content on Wub Crew infringes your copyright, send a notice that identifies the work, the material you believe infringes it, and your contact information to our designated agent:

We’ll respond to valid, complete notices by removing or disabling access to the reported material and notifying the person who posted it.

Wub Crew is provided “as is,” in active alpha development. Features can change, break, or disappear without notice. We don’t guarantee the app will be available, accurate, or error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Wub Crew and its operators aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including anything that happens at a festival. Nothing here limits liability that can’t legally be limited.

We may update these terms as the app evolves. If we make a material change, we’ll update the effective date above and, where practical, note it in the app. Continuing to use Wub Crew after a change means you accept the update.
